Join us for a fun and relaxing introduction to winter landscape watercolor painting taught by professional artist and instructor Liana Majed. She has taught at the farm several times and our students have great things to say about her.
In this beginner-friendly workshop, you'll learn the fundamentals of creating beautiful winter landscapes using watercolors.
Whether you're a complete beginner or just looking to refine your skills, this workshop will guide you step-by-step through essential techniques like wet on wet, flat wash, and layering.
Throughout the session, we'll explore how to paint serene skies, residing in distance trees, and dark trunks, with a focus on mastering light, color, and depth.
By the end of the workshop, you'll have the confidence to create your own stunning watercolor landscapes and take home a finished piece that reflects your unique creative vision.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR:
Hi, I'm Liana!
I am an artist and instructor based in Vancouver, BC. I draw my inspiration from the natural world around me, specifically from trees and plants.
I began my journey with mosaic art and was fortunate to travel to Venice and Ravenna in Italy, to attend workshops and learn about the amazing world of mosaic. I taught mosaic art for 5 years in Dubai as well as worked on private commissions and participated in 2 exhibitions.
I subsequently developed an interest in oil, acrylic and watercolor painting. I have been privileged to learn from various artists, as well as attend different courses and workshops including at Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design in Vancouver, BC.
