Echoes and Impulses
Echoes and Impulses is the name I’ve given to the body of work that emerges when I create without a plan—guided not by concept, but by the quiet pull of instinct. These pieces are rooted in spontaneity, built from layered collage and mixed media materials that speak to me in the moment. They are where my hands lead before my mind has time to catch up.
Collage is always the foundation—a grounding element that allows me to build texture, contrast, and meaning. From there, I work intuitively with acrylic, pencil, ink, and mark-making techniques, letting color, shape, and movement unfold as they will. Each piece is a visual improvisation—an interplay between what I bring to the surface and what surfaces on its own.
These works carry no fixed story, yet they hold space for emotion, energy, and presence. They are echoes of the unseen, impulses made visible. If a piece stirs something in you, trust that moment of recognition. These are artworks created not to explain, but to be felt.
